AN OLD POEM I WROTE IN 2002

Yawn after yawn,
Sleep after dawn,
Not the physical sleep but i am tired of this lawn.
They say the grass is greener on the other side,
I've been all over these hills, I believe a traveler once lied.
Maybe he was color blind and couldn't truly depict the green,
Or maybe its not the color, the green has symbolization and a new mean,
In the Middle ages, it represented evil and the dark side of life,
So now I'm confused who would journey off to strife,
Or maybe it represents exactly what we've been taught,
The other side is greener, or it can be just a thought.
Because if the traveler went to the other side,
when did the less greener side decide,
its fact its a better life outside the borders they reside.
Did the man across in the greener land,
Leave his place of happiness to allow smiles to expand,
That must be a great man, to leave where he dreamed to be,
to step back into his past, and face the life we all still surround to see.
Giving the news, To follow his shoes,
In both sides he walked where he found victory but now risk to lose,
There is only one other side to choose.
Its like heaven or hell, and we stand in the midst to have a story to tell,
the green said isn't hell, its where all the people are in mediocre not bad not well.
So is Jesus that man, that came to this less greener side,
Gave us commandments and a book to guide,
I walk gracefully to this greener side, and God will judge my path.
I am going to the greener side, because i am tired of living a life of wrath.
This land is for sell, the devil plans to buy it out,
I am walking to the other side, God's greener land i devout,
The grass is greener on the other side, my whole life is my route,
I am believing in this side, A just stance is my doubt,
I am following the one that is on the greener side,
The man who made it sprout.
